David D. Chadderton

David Dean Chadderton, 63, of Dilliner, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 7, 1962, David lived a life marked by determination, grit, and deep love. He was the kind of man who built a life he was proud of—one shaped by hard work, unwavering loyalty, and the people he held close. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Vivian P. Chadderton, who taught him how to love without judgment and to accept people as they are. He carried that forward every day of his life, fiercely protective of the family he built and the peace he worked hard to maintain. David is survived by the love of his life, Patty Wyland; their children Donnie M. Wyland (father of 4), Beth Ann Hennessey and husband Danny (parents of 5), Hillery Chadderton and partner Dannielle Bryan (parents of 3), and Becky Wyland (mom of the family’s spoiled pup, Snuggles). He also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, all of whom filled his world with pride and joy. David spent his career as an auto body technician, known for his talent in restorative paint work and his ability to bring things back to life with his hands. He had a special skill of improvement, which he showcased in every project, every relationship, and with his own life. He found his freedom on the open road, riding his Harley. That bike gave him space to think, to breathe, and to connect with the world around him. It was more than a machine—it was a part of who he was. David could take a joke—he was often the aim of many, especially from his kids—and he handled it with grace and a good laugh. He brought people together. His home was a gathering place, his cookouts were legendary, and his presence made others feel safe, warm, and welcome. His life was full—not always simple, but deeply meaningful. He leaves behind a family that will carry his legacy of strength, loyalty, and love. His community, his friends, and his family will think of him every day. He will forever be immensely missed and lovingly remembered. Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, on Thursday, May 22nd, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM, and again on Friday, from 10 - until the 11:00 AM hour of services, with Pastor Rhonda Sanders officiating. Interment follows in Fairview Cemetery, Taylortown, Pa..
