James Keith “Jim” Everly, 84, of Dilliner (Bald Hill), Pa., passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 in the Golden Living Center in Morgantown. He leaves behind his companion of 23 years, Diane Wade. Jim was prededed in death by his mother, Catherine (Lewellen) Everly Frum; father, Oren O’neil Everly; a sister, Gloria (Everly) Rupert Johnson; and a brother, Peter O’neil Everly. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he owned his own roofing and siding business in the Washington D.C. area for over 40 years. In 1995, he retired and moved back to his childhood home area of Bald Hill. Also surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Jennie Lee and Tom McClain of SC, and Jan Marie and Darryle Edwards of Baltimore, MD; a son James Keith Everly, Jr. of Rockville, MD; several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his wife, Jennie Suzanne (Crockett) Everly, and one sister, Nancy (Everly) Davis, of Waynesburg. Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, on Saturday from 6 – 9 P.M., and Sunday from Noon until 2:00 P.M., the hour of service, with Pastor Frank Vucic officiating. Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mount Morris, Pa.
