Florence Jane Pritchard

Florence Jane (Pomeroy) Pritchard, 74, of Melbourne, Florida, and a former long-time resident of Point Marion, Pa., passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in Florida. Born Nov. 22, 1941 in Morgantown, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Ida Mae (Long) Pomeroy. A 1959 graduate of Point Marion High School, she was a former member of the Point Marion Christian Church. She worked for many years in Point Marion doing housework for a number of area families, and in Florida was employed in food service. Surviving are two children and their spouses, Jim and Mindy Pritchard of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Lynda Pritchard Weaver and husband Shane of Melbourne; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Madison and Jacob Pritchard; and a sister, Linda Jones of Melbourne. Also deceased are two sons, Bryan J. Pritchard in 2013, and Roy Paul Pritchard in infancy; and her brother-in-law, Eugene Jones. The family will receive friends in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, on Tuesday from 11 AM until the 1:00 PM hour of service, with Brian Young, Minister, officiating. Interment follows in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Morgantown.
