Donna Paul Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donna Paul, 82, of Point Marion, Pa., died Sunday, February 24, 2013 in the Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., with her devoted family at her side. Born April 20, 1930 in Newton Falls, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Creel and Myrtle (Swagger) McDonald. A loving mother and grandmother with a tremendous heart, undeniable wisdom and wonderful sense of humor, she unselfishly lived her life for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many “adopted” kids. Surviving are nine children and their spouses, Randy Paul, Debbie Paul, Shirl and Kim Veugeler, Kim Carr, Kathleen and Lou Longo and Lisa and Alex Volek, all of Point Marion, and Vicki and Skip Marino, Stacey and Gabe Damiani and Frank E. Paul and Andrew Mann, all of Chicago; eleven grandchildren, Eric Veugeler and fiance’ Mackenzi Cosman, Gina (Marino) and Robert Bell, Kristen (Carr) and Barry Ganoe, Anthony Marino and Jessica Campbell, Louis Longo, Stephanie Longo, Kaitlin, Dominick, and Nicholas Damiani, Brandon Volek and Paul Volek; nine great-grandchildren; Samantha and Emily Bell, Gabrielle and Gage Veugeler, Samantha, Isabelle, Max, and Zack Marino, and Addison Grace; son-in-law Greg Volek; and several nieces and nephews and their families. Deceased are her husband Frank Paul on Dec. 29, 1998; a sister Sondra McDonald; and two brothers, Creel “Laddie” and Edgar “Brub” McDonald. Honoring the wishes of the deceased, there will be no public services. A private gathering for family and close friends is being planned. Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, 1400 S. Braddock Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA, 15218, Attn: Development Department.
