Deborah Scarford Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Deborah Eileen Scarford, 57, of Point Marion, Pa., died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, following a brief illness. Born in Winchester, Virginia on August 21, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Beverly (Dean) Reed. A 1982 graduate from the Phillippi W.Va. high school, she had recently been employed at Teletec in Uniontown, and also Apple Annie’s in Morgantown. Surviving are her two children, Danielle Sherman and husband Chris of Ontario, Canada, and Justin Scarford of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Hailie, Alexander, Amber and Damien; a sister, Sheri Staten of Point Marion, one brother, Allen Reed of Fairmont; her former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Friedlander of Decatur, Georgia; and her good friend, Tim McCune of Point Marion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine A. Scarford on March 2, 2010. Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Philip S. Rishel, Director, on Sunday from 2 – 5 PM. Funeral services will begin at 5:00 PM with Pastor Kathy Griffith officiating. Private interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
