Carla J. Trautman, 56, of New Geneva, Pa., died Tuesday, December 29, 2015, in the Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown, following a brief illness. Born Feb. 15, 1959 in El Paso, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Barbara (Mathewson) Sanders. A loving homemaker, she had served in the U.S. Army after graduation from high school. Surviving are her son, Raymond John Trautman of New Geneva; two sisters, Alexis Gouty of Knoxville, Tennessee, Christine Cole and her companion Michael VanVerth of Point Marion; one brother, William Sanders, also of Knoxville; and a number of in-laws and their families. Deceased is her husband, John C. Trautman on August 24, 2012; and a sister, Elizabeth Sanders. The family will receive friends in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, on Thursday from noon until 2P.M. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Rev. French Jenkins officiating. Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by the V.F.W. Post 747, and the AmericanLegion, Post 499, both of Point Marion.
