Archibald “Kip” Fernand Rose, II, age 69, of Dilliner, Pa., passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020, at his home following a lengthy illness, with his loving family at his side. Born in Morgantown, W.Va. on August 27, 1950, he was a son of the late Madge (Grow) and Archibald F. Rose, I. A 1968 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, he was a coal miner and crane operator, retiring from Loveridge Mine, and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He is survived by his wife, Roseann (Hirschfelt) Rose; three sons, Brian Rose of Greensboro, Daniel Rose of Waynesburg, and Timothy Rose of Mount Morris, Pa.; one daughter, Roianne Rose McCann of Greensboro, several grandchildren, and his sister, Vicki Jones of Columbus, Ohio. Honoring his wishes, there will be no public services. A private graveside service was held Friday, July 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Little Arlington Section of Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, with Military Rites accorded by the Point Marion Veterans Posts. Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion.
